The beach, the harbor, the markets, the best restaurants in town — all within walking distance, through our cobblestone streets.
A fully renovated neoclassical building in Chania's old town, on one of its most photographed cobblestone streets. Set on a sun-warmed stone lane where the town's noise seems to stop at the corner, leaving a quiet pocket in the middle of it all, 2 minutes from the Venetian port.
The three apartments are named after the Pleiades, the seven sisters of Greek mythology, who have guided travelers across the Aegean for three thousand years.
The amber sister of the Pleiades. From her line came Dardanus, who built Troy — the city the world has never stopped writing about. She is the one the ancient world traces its beginning to, and the one who raised Harmonia, Aphrodite's own daughter.
Prices start at: 194.54€ for 2 nights (+taxes and fees)
The brightest of the sisters. Her name became the word for halcyon, for the days when the sea goes completely still and the light seems to come from everywhere at once.
Prices start at: 207.64€ for 2 nights (+taxes and fees)
He holds the sky on his shoulders so everything beneath it can exist undisturbed. Standing at the edge of the world, he has never put it down. While he held it up, he arranged the constellations and named them after those he loved.
Prices start at: 92.90€ per night (+taxes and fees)
All three apartments also include
Step outside and you can explore the old town, wander down to the harbour and feel the sea wind, or just see where the lane takes you.
The Venetian port and its lighthouse are two minutes away, the market and the tavernas are closer than most hotels' parking lots, and there's a jazz bar twenty metres from my front door. Even the beach is close: Nea Chora is a thirteen-minute walk, close enough to swim before breakfast.
In the evening, the harbour restaurants face a sunset that changes the color of the sea, the kind you only get on an island, and the walk home is two minutes through the lit-up lanes.
You can plan ahead and have everything within reach... or relax and go with the flow without missing a thing.
There is not one flaw. Eva is the best host we've ever encountered in our many hotel and Airbnb stays. The apartment is pitch black and quiet at night, yet you're just a block up from the water. I truly wish we could have stayed longer.
"Best Airbnb I've ever been to. I feel bad for paying so little."
"This place is a gem. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Eva is the perfect host and provided a wonderful personalized google map with all the best restaurants, beaches, bars and parking. I would definitely come back."
"This is our second time staying with Eva. She's incredibly kind and even met us at 2:30 AM when we arrived on a late flight. The apartment is always spotless and has everything you need. We definitely want to stay here again."
"Eva was incredibly attentive even before my stay. The apartment is perfectly located in the heart of the charming old town, yet so peaceful. All bath amenities and bed linens are 5 star hotel quality. There is NO reason I wouldn't recommend her place to anyone!"
"Eva is one of the kindest, most thoughtful and accommodating hosts I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She made my stay in Chania a 5-star experience! Did I mention the unbeatable location? Right in the old town. You can walk everywhere!"
"If this isn't a Rare Find on Airbnb, it should be! This is hands-down the most amazing place I've stayed in. It felt like something out of a movie."
"My second stay at this lovely apartment and it was as gorgeous as ever. Great location, fabulous host and a comfortable, spotlessly clean apartment — what more could you ask for?"
"The location was just perfect, in the Goldilocks zone. Within 2 minutes you are right in amongst the main area of restaurants, shops and old architecture that lead you to the old Venetian harbour. Just a beautiful and perfect location, best of both worlds."
"Stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the cutest place in Old Town. Walkable to all restaurants. Eva was flexible during our check-in as we arrived later than expected."
"Our flight was delayed so we arrived very late (2am) but Eva still insisted on meeting us in person and showing us around. We particularly enjoyed using the flippers and snorkels on the beach! It is an amazing location — right in the old town."
"Our best Airbnb experience! The pictures don't do the apartment justice. Eva met us on arrival, had baked some homemade pastries which were very tasty, and helped with restaurant and taxi bookings — couldn't ask for a better host."
"Eva is amazing with a very sweet and charming personality. Her apartment is beautiful and centrally located, with everything you could possibly need. There's a terrace where you can enjoy breakfast in the morning or drink some raki, which you'll find in the fridge. See you soon, Eva — we will meet again!"
I've been hosting these three apartments for nine years now, and more than a thousand guests have stayed under this roof. I still meet every one of them at the door.
Chania is my home, and showing it off is my favourite part of this work. I know where to drink your morning coffee by the sea, which beaches stay quiet, and which tavernas are worth your evenings. I can tell you everything when you arrive, and it's all in my guide to Chania, which I'll send you before your stay.
The apartments, the street, the town itself... the photos show them better than I can tell you. Hope to see you here soon!
The same apartment you'd find on Airbnb or Booking.com, at the price you'd pay if there were no middleman. Which there isn't, when you book here.
